Size Chart
Livie & Luca baby and toddler shoes run from American size 4 to size 13. Our baby and toddler shoes generally fit pre-walkers to preschool aged children.
Starting with our Spring 2010 styles, we will be offering shoes using three different soles. Each sole has a slightly different fit.
Our sizing chart was developed for our original sole, and may not apply to all of our shoes. To get more detailed information about the sizing of a particular shoe, please click on the picture from our shop page and read the information in the description section.
Please read the following information for specific instructions to our sizing chart print out, if it applies to the shoe style you are interested in.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHOE SIZE CHART (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ALL SHOES)
To ensure the best fit please print out our sizing chart on a letter sized paper (8.5" by 11") and have your child stand on the guide. The ideal fit would leave an extra quarter to half an inch of space to make room for a growing foot.
For example, if Luca stands on the guide and his foot lands in the size 4 footprint, there should be 1/4" to 1/2" inch of space between the edge of his big toe and the traced outline of the size 4 shoe footprint. The heel should be right up against the outline in the back. Infants will often curl their toes. Gently press down on the top of their foot to get an accurate foot length.
No two feet are alike. One foot is usually larger than the other. So, be sure to measure both feet and use the larger foot for your final size selection.
Most of our baby and toddler shoe styles fit normal to wide feet. The easy to adjust velcro closure allows different widths to have a perfect fit. However, we do have a few baby and toddler shoe styles that are more appropriate for narrower feet. Please refer to the description of each shoe for these details.
A professional can determine the exact size and width of the child’s foot and will be helpful in making an initial selection. But, to get the most perfect fit for Livie & Luca baby and toddler shoes, we recommend printing out and using our sizing chart. The PDF File will appear on your desktop.
