Extra Extra! Last Minute Playground News!

Only three more days until Build Day so we wanted to share a few more playground headlines with you all…

It’s a Playground for All Children

It is so important to Livie & Luca to have a playground that is accessible to all children. Here are a few components of the playground that demonstrate this:

The Cozy Cocoon:  Fun for all children, but specially designed for those with autism spectrum disorders. Enclosed space for one child to escape the playground when s/he becomes over stimulated. Interior textures & molded-in features for tactile exploration. Windows on both sides for adult visibility. Helpful grips provide easier entrance/exits for child.

Accessible Swing Seat:  Rollercoaster-style safety harness lifts for entry and snap-fits into place between legs for security (no complicated belts or buckles).

Transfer Station:  Provides an accessible route. Ideal for wheelchair transfer from deck heights of 3′ and 4′ platforms.

Livie & Luca Reps Flying in from All Over the World

We’ll be flying in 13 of our reps to help on Build Day this Saturday. Our staff will be traveling from Iceland, Mexico, Los Angeles, Alabama, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. These fantastic reps are the backbone of L&L – they pound the pavement and sell our shoes. We are so happy to have them in town for this exciting day!

Let’s Dance!

Just so it’s not all work and no play, the project managers have decided to have two group dances to warm us up on Saturday before we start swinging those hammers and wielding those paintbrushes. We’re going to do the Wobble and the Cha Cha Slide. Learn it with us!
